Bio

Born and raised in Amsterdam, I love calling this city home.. but I’m always looking for opportunities to travel for work.

Collaboration is at the heart of filmmaking for me, so I take great care in choosing the people that I work with, because I believe that working together is what makes filmmaking so special. To me, safety and cohesion are important ingredients to create something beautiful on set.

I graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy in 2020 with the short fiction Donny Mountain (Thijs Bouwman) and the short documentary Why Didn’t You Stay for Me (Milou Gevers). The latter went on to win the 2021 Student Academy Award for Best International Short Documentary. Since then, I’ve worked across both fiction and documentary, with my feature debut Vaandeldrager Vijf (Joost van Hezik) releasing in 2024 and my first theatrical feature Koning van de Zwervers (Janne Schmidt) set for 2025.

I’m drawn to stories that carry urgency and social awareness, but I also believe that even the most realistic narratives can hold moments of magic and escapism.

I love meeting new people (and happen to be addicted to coffee), so if you’d like to connect or exchange ideas, let’s grab a coffee!
